Whether
you're an entrepreneur, a senior executive or an aspiring professional,
the Rhinoceros Business Club offers a unique mix of speaking activities
and events that will surely meet your needs.
*Overcome your fear of public speaking in a friendly and
supportive atmosphere *Think on your feet *Provide and receive
feedback *Gain leadership experience
We offer a weekly program
comprised of speeches that follow Toastmaster manuals,
evaluations of those speeches, and short impromptu speaking opportunities.
As a business club, we encourage our members to speak about business
topics, thereby sharing their insights with other
club members. In addition to the regular program, we bring in guest
speakers who have expert knowledge in their respective
fields.
Mission
The
mission of The Rhinoceros Business Club is to provide a mutually
supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has
the opportunity to develop communication and leadership
skills.
History
The Rhinoceros Business Club is one of the first
Toastmasters club in the Bay Area dedicated to business topics. In
addition to improving confidence and communication skills, we also strive
to educate on various business values, practices and philosophies; provide
insight from local business leaders; and enhance networking
opportunities.
The Club was founded in 1997 by Jinsoo Terry, who
immigrated to the United States from South Korea in 1985. Undaunted by the
challenges of navigating a foreign landscape, Jinsoo forged ahead. Today,
she is an acclaimed motivational speaker and founder of the Jinsoo Terry
Global Leadership training program. She continues to be an active member in
the club and serves as an inspiration.
